Omaha's home décor haven
for 39 years and beyond...
Beyond the Vine is a woman-owned, small business, local to Omaha, Nebraska that specializes in custom silk flower arrangements and decorating services.
Our commitment to serving our customers and community is deep and enduring; it’s what’s enabled us to stay in business for 39 years after all. It’s our delight to make a connection with every person who walks through our doors. We always strive to provide an experience at Beyond the Vine that exceeds your expectations at every opportunity.
Beyond the Vine Flowers and Home Décor revolves around three primary points:
Beyond Flowers
While flowers remain an integral part of our business, we have broadened our horizons to include an extraordinary range of home decor and accessories.
Spirituality
Spirituality is very important to us as Jesus is the Vine, we are merely the branch; meaning as designers, we recognize that we merely create with the talents given by the creator.
Mother Nature
Our team of talented designers harnesses their creative abilities to replicate and honor the incredible gifts bestowed upon us by Mother Nature.
Our Journey
Established in 1985.
One year after graduating college, Rose McCormick bought the flower shop she had worked for, Younkers Flowers, at the Center Mall at 42nd and Center.
In 1987, she opened a second store inside Younkers Department Store at Crossroads Mall at 72nd and Dodge.
Rose kept her business there until 2003, when she moved her operations to 130th and West Center Road, closing the Younkers location. She also changed the store’s name to “Beyond The Vine“.
In 2015, we celebrated our 30th Anniversary and moved into our current building on 132nd and Grover.
“People ask me, why are beautiful interiors so important? I answer, if you wake up surrounded by beauty, you will carry that feeling of joy and confidence all day long, then you can return home, recharge, and begin again.”

The Visionary
As a young girl, my mother would take me to the Old Market district in downtown Omaha for pottery classes, art, and other cultural experiences. Along the way, I discovered a glimpse into my world… the plant store on the corner. I could smell the earthy aroma as soon as I hit the doorway and I wanted to linger all night. I knew then at age 10, I was in my element.
At 15 years old, I started my first job at a flower shop in a department store called Brandeis. I pursued my dream fervently getting my Floriculture Degree from Kansas State University earned by way of a golf scholarship; and my Business Management Degree from the University of Nebraska Omaha while working in various flower shops along the way.
At age 23, a year out of college, I was offered an opportunity to buy my first flower shop inside the Younkers Department Store. Little did I know that a lot of passion and perseverance would keep my business growing and evolving, continuing to be an endless source of joy.
